We shall enjoy a simple homecooked meal - with a touch of spice - main course, hot pudding and a glass or two of wine. Our guest speaker, Mark Thomas, is originally from South Wales and now lives with his family locally in Basingstoke. With his wife Julie they founded Child Trust in 1999.

About the event
Our first guest supper will meet at Caviste, Newlyns Farm, where we shall enjoy a simple home cooked supper and pudding including a glass or two of wine from the Lebanon. Our guest speaker Mark Thomas has his own rather wonderful story. Born into a South Wales family with six other siblings, his father was a signalman on the railways – and after a number of roles in HR including a move, with his family, to Basingstoke with the AA. He then started his own consultancy. And shortly after, with his wife Jule they founded the charity, Childs Trust, in 1999 which has homes for abandoned and orphaned children in India, Bangladesh and Nepal. Central to his adventurous life has been his Christian faith. I am certain that we shall be captivated by his story.
